RPG Design Zine
A downloadable zine
The RPG Design Zine is a cut-and-paste 24-page zine distilling what I've learned in the 13+ years I've been designing roleplaying games into a how-to guide.
It uses text from my personal game library to illustrate design concepts and present different ways of applying them, all towards the end of providing tools and ways to think about games that will, hopefully, help you out in your design journey.
Design is making choices. I'm not here to tell you which ones to make, but I do want you to know why you're making them.
This download contains PDFs for screen reading, home printing and DIY booklet printing. It's available in print through my website for $5 - if you'd like it in print and find that cover price a barrier, you can also request a free print copy from the zine library. All the details on that are here.

Thank you!
Glad to help!
I kickstarted this zine, and have found it incredibly useful to consult, muse or read for leisure when it comes to RPG design. A great reference, I definitely recommend it!
Thank you! I'm so glad you're digging it!
